The time has come for another Dunedin Youth Orchestra Semester 1 concert! New to the DYO, conductor Natasha Manowitz will lead the orchestra and audience through a panoramic vista of the romantic landscapes presented in music composed in the 1800s. Repertoire includes favourites such as Grieg’s Symphonic Dances, Bizet’s Carmen Suites and Weber’s first clarinet concerto, superbly performed by Young Musicians’ Award soloist Ayla Biner-McGrath.
